Can I just draw attention to my favourite moment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. It only lasts a few seconds but through a combination of editing, music, and camera work it says everything about the character of Bruce Wayne, what he's been through, what he is, and what it will mean for the rest of his life. The music swells to a thrilling moment of heroic pride but also suggests everything that isn't - dark, lonely, and tragic.

Bruce Wayne starts to fully understand the meaning of the armour. The responsibilities and sacrifices that come by wearing it. The unbreakable and sacred oath to Gotham and to its citizens.

Such a powerful and iconic scene, no words but full of meaning.
