I’m from Ukraine and I’ve worked on my English and accent, for the most part, on my own, but you can find out and trace my story by watching my videos. I’ve been studying American pronunciation for a long time, and I still do, and I guess I always will – because it’s not math. Learning a language, it’s a lifetime journey. I can guarantee you that my greatest wish in English is to receive the miracle of being able to pronounce as well as you, however I know, I have to modify my daily routines and thus authorize myself to be more fluent and perfect. TL;DW a little note that I made after watching and definitely going to use for some words:
Give = Provide(somebody WITH my report/my report TO somebody)
Get = Recieve(I recieved your report)
Come = Attend(I expect everybody to attend the meeting on Friday)
Assure = Guarantee(I can guarantee that the quality of our materials is the best on the market)
Punishment = Penalty(I recieved my ad penalty while trying to save time watching this video)
Allow = Authorize(My boss finally authorized the launch of our campaign)
Tell me more = Elaborate(Can you please elaborate more on that point?)
But = However(This one was rather informative to know as well, however I will most likely not use it myself because of how this one word alone makes you instantly sound like a scripted human bot who is not really involved into conversation)
Also = I found a way to speed up our manufacturing process)
Change = Modify(I need to modify a couple of details in our agreement)
