DrChrono integrates with Square to streamline healthcare payments

DrChrono is a one-stop shop, cloud based, iPad, iPhone solution for medical professionals. We cross the gamut doing everything from charting to medical billing. We wanted to disrupt the medical world by creating a better technology experience for providers.

Generally, the providers have to stay late at work late reconciling all the data that they entered into the payment processor with their practice management software. When there’s a simple integration—they don’t have to do any of that. You can swipe a credit card and it’s actually processed from Square and that goes right into DrChrono. Take the technology and remove the complexity.

We were really looking for a best-of-breed partner. I think Square is really a developer-friendly company. What really surprised me is all the support we got. Our team was able to integrate in no time. We were able to build on the web, iPhone, and iPad—which is hugely powerful. It’s a really, really productive experience for us on Square’s APIs.

Square has helped enormously in growing our business and giving us ideas on how we can make our app better. It’s not just a credit card processor. They have so many different products. I have confidence that Square is going to continually push the boundary on like what a payment is and how to take a payment.
