Great video! I’m learning to draw now at 35 years of age and this was a great set of tips on mentality in addition to technique. Thank you.

It was useful for me to SEE an artist drawing: The way he prepared to make the strokes by rehearsing them a couple times before he put the pencil on the pad. As Yogi Berra said, "You can observe a lot just by watching."

Reaching my 30s and decided to learn how to draw again, this video allowed me to discover the Concept app. I downloaded the warm up sheets too.. I hope I can keep up and awaken the sleeping artist in me 😂. Its never too late, right?

As a tattoo artist and painter I have used concepts almost every day for almost a full year. Whether it be for working out a tattoo design or doing a full size painting, I trust it over all other programs that I have. Intuitive and easy to navigate.

I don't plan on becoming an artist, as I've got enough time to waste on my instruments, but I'm going to uni next quarter and I'm going to be taking classes that will require some decent sketching skills. So, thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!

I've wanted to learn how to draw for years now but I could never stick with it. I'm very logical so creativity is new to me. As well as this, I am naturally very good academically so I'm not used to having to struggle to achieve my goals and would often give up at the first hurdle. I'm hoping that this series encourages me to keep trying and finally achieve a pride in persevering.

What I love about the Concepts app is how it gives you the tools to really take your beginner doodling skills to the next level with ease. I am one of those people that innately "can't draw".
I needed a new hobby to take my mind off the constant stream of bad news in the world. I decided to take up hand lettering and doodling. I didn't want to buy a lot of paper and pens before I got started with the basics. Using the Concepts app has allowed me to practice the basics and get my feet wet without investing tons of money on the materials up front.
Also, sketching on a digital platform - like Concepts - gives me all sorts of handy tools that allow me to put together a full sketch project that I could never do on paper at my skill level. Tools like undo, eraser sizing, lassoing, layering, copying to clipboard, resizing, etc. If I tried to doodle a whole scene of animals on paper using pencils and markers, I would make tons of mistakes and get very frustrated before I got very far.
Obviously, the goal would be to eventually not rely on these digital tools. But its nice to be satisfied with my end product, even with minimal skill, knowledge, and practice...especially since this is just a fun diversion from news, social media, etc.
This Concepts app is easy to learn and I highly recommend it to fellow sketch beginners looking to get started and have some fun while learning.
I also find the instructional YouTube videos very helpful.

Thank you, one of my "forgotten" skills I used to love and do all the time is drawing. This video was the final push I needed to get back to it.

I started drawing 47 years ago and learning it 20 years later. This clip is a wellcome and well communicated warm up.
I'm just looking forward to my next drawings. Thanks a lot.

Perfect timing. I love the Concepts app and just the other day i made a note to myself that i wanted to learn how to sketch better. The warm up and practice shapes is a great start and i wouldn't have thought of this. I look forward to other Learn to Draw videos in your series.
