She's sweet. Love my 17 S. I got mine in July of 2017. I need to do a video. Done some minor cosmetic improvements. I'm as tall as you and with the stage 1 done, its all I can do to hold on when I goose it. LOL. Lots of luck. I put projector driving lights on it. Satin Black Front headlight Visor with matching T/S visors. Rear visors are shiny black. Don't know wht HD did that but it looks great. Orange SE plug wires. SE Edge cut air cleaner. V&H Short shots and V&H programmer. Lowered rear end. Reflectors removed. New Edgecut shift linkage. Satin black heal/toe and brake. Deleted mirrors. I have a bar end mirror on it. Daymaker headlight. One of my most favorite mods is the seat screw. I ordered 4 round, black, cross cut seat hold down screws. I put one where the pass pillion would go. One for my seat. One for the leather bib. Drilled and Tapped out to 1/4x20. Then put the last one just above the ignition switch. Cut the shank off of the thumb screw and drill a 5/16x18 thread pitch for that. It holds the console down. I also painted the fender strut bolts black. Next is the HD speedometer/tach, flush mount gas cap and fuel gauge. She looks amazing now. She's just fade to black. Sharp looking bike. Hope you've been enjoying it. I was in your exact same place. Walked in to buy the breakout but after the test ride didn't like the handling with that 240 rear tire. hopped on to a slim and knew then and there that this was the bike for me. like you, I'm 5'7" so the low seat is a bonus. Also added the rush slip ons (1.75 baffles) and haven't ever thought of trading in for anything (though mine is a lowly 103 :-)

Love it! I really like the blacked out movement going on. Low...fast enough...same here, riding my 3rd looking to graduate lol to a real bike and I love this one a lot! A little low...(pegs will scrape) but its not about speed. So bummed these new 18's do not have a Slim S blacked out model anymore. Not a big fan of chrome. I may look into buying a used 17' as well at some point. They look awesome...green olive as well. Sick! Nice bike man

Nice - but that verticle mounted plate will get you ticketed here in WA. Did my 92 FXSTS like that - I got pulled over, as did my son.

I am trying to negotiate a deal at my local harley dealer for the same bike. Do you mind sharing the price you payed? I just wanted to get some idea of what price I can push the dealer for? Beautiful machine, however I would add more rear
lighting for safety sake and add a day maker headlamp.
I am checking out available LED lighting options for my Slim before I pull the trigger soon. Also looking at some blacked out front road lamps as well for improved night riding visibility. Take care and ride safe! Congrats on your beautiful bike!
