He’s fine! He’s almost 90. Not easy for anyone. He does not have a sad life. He still happily lives in Utah with his second wife. As he got older he began unloading and selling many of the properties he owned. It’s a personal tragedy his son passed away. Like any parent he will grieve the loss of a child until the day he dies.

He directed a movie “Ordinary People.” My unpleasant family life was nearly a mirror of those of Mary Tyler Moore and Donald Sutherland and their relationship with their son. The movie help gave me hope and helped my deeply depressed 17 year old self that I was not alone as a child growing up in this toxic relationship of the parents. Well, I’m 76 yrs. young and a possible longer life yet! My life, as well has been a life that many women would shy away from, ”Very Difficult”, challenging for sure! Been single all my life, had no man to share with alone most times! I’ve out lived my immediate family, the hurt there is unimaginable for sure.I feel the loneliness at times. Have alway's liked his acting! The fact that he is eye-candy, is the added bonus! The loss of a child is so hard and something you never get over. You just learn to cope. But to lose an adult son that has fought so many health battles is inconsolable! That he has remained friends with his ex-wife is a credit to them both. So much tragedy makes you realize fame, money, and material things have little meaning with so much loss. I lost a nice, a twin at six months to SID's. The loss to this day, when I remember the agony, the family at that time went through to this day can still bring me to tears. My brother-in-law was editor of a smaller town newspaper. He was granted an interview with Paul Newman. Newman gave very few interviews. He was racing in Brainerd, MN. And he was so impressed at what a nice man he was. I'm so glad Redford and Newman had that friendship! ❤
