1976 Ford F-100 AC Servicing

A short video of a "trick" to servicing the AC system on my F-100. I'm not a Ford guy, so I had no idea why I was not able to pull vacuum on the AC system in my F-100. Turns out that there is a service valve that you have to open in order to get freon into the system.

Great video.
These old compressor videos used to be all over YouTube but lately this one and only like two others on (king valve only) show how this valve operates.
Since every company is now carrying mostly all new style compressors, these are becoming harder and harder to find at all.

God bless you. I've scoured the internet for the last hour. I tried charging my 77 F150 (460) this afternoon and it wouldn't take Freon for nothing. Now I know why! Thank you, sir!

Thank you. This is the only video I could find where someone is running r134a in a factory setup gof these trucks. I want to finally charge mine and try to run it.

Did you have to fix anything with the blower motor? I just got a 75 f150 and I’m having problems figuring out how to get the ac working. I can hear it switching on when I move the switch on the dash but I am now getting any airflow.

Hey there!
Thanks for this video, I’m struggling to fill my f150 79 with AC I turn on the low pressure valve but my gauge keep reading on the red! Is there anything else I must do?

I have a 1979 f 150 with the same compressor set up. Is that the same place where you recharge it? What is the valve on the lower hose connection for?

Hello,

Are you running R12 or 134A?
Thank you

You contradict yourself by saying screw it to the right to add freon but then u say that you screw it all the way in to block the freon from circulating through the system. If you don't know what your talking about, then you shouldn't be making videos on how to do things. Just saying!
