It's shocking and disappointing to hear of the Lib Dems' comments. Go back 30-40 years and they seemed to be very much the preferred party amongst practising Christians. Research carried out by the then Movement for Christian Democracy at the 1992 election supported this view, as did my observations in evangelical churches in 4 UK cities. But more recent data from the Evangelical Alliance suggests that they've largely lost the Christian vote nowadays.

Will women be chaperoned when approaching an abortion clinic? It seems that the law will also apply to anyone supporting a women having an abortion, not simply those passively standing nearby.
