NHL 24 Reveal Trailer Deep Dive

My thoughts on the upcoming features highlighted in EA's NHL 24 reveal trailer. What are your thoughts?

I think a simple fix to goalie fatigue is just to make it happen a lot slower. Maybe after thirty seconds of zone pressure, he gets a little fatigued, and after a minute of nonstop pressure is when he starts to get a lot more desperate. This would encourage zone pressure, while also encouraging players to get the puck out.

Also, I’m really hoping there are sliders to adjust the pressure system. That could be fun to play around with.

Pretty worried about Total Control scheme being OP and usable in online competitive modes.

As a full time goalie… im scared. Looking at the possibility of adding 2 goals to my GAA.

I play the game and there is a new michigan and i hit one in HUT with a 68 overall player this doesn’t make any sense

Haven't been able to do the slap pass since nhl 15. Also holding down R1 and it slowing my guy down sucks

I don’t like the pressure system….it’s kinda like a guaranteed goal for just being in the zone long enough

I agree with the pressure meter potentially causing lame gameplay. Hasn’t been an issue in the small amount of play testing I did, but we shall see.

I feel like the EA team is setting up for some Sony vs Xbox drop in clashes, expecially for 6s. It's up to the community to try & play more realistic. That's why I'm happy seeing the back skate button gone.. If you can dangle yourself 200 ft than good but hitting L2 to invade the defence has been more cheap imo.

I'm really skeptical about that goalie fatigue system. And i love playing puck possession hockey. But that is ice tilt. I think a better system would be that your stamina drains faster the longer you're in the defensive zone. Sorta similar to how stamina regenerates really slow when you're on the PK. And maybe goalies can have some type of stamina bar as well.

Im not a pro player and i play Dman, why EA keep on giving tools to offense to beat defense, total control, improved back hit, goalie fatigue et cetera.
