One Night In Bangkok is timeless like all 80s music, and nothing today compares.Enjoyed it in 1985 as a 5 year old.And dancing to it in 2022 as a 42 year old! 💯🕺🏻😎👍

Epitomizes ‘80 music perfectly. It didn’t get better than this one.

I like the fact that Murray's character Freddie is actually saying that Siam/Bangkok is a place of prostitution in the lyrics -
"One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster
The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister
And if you're lucky then the god's a she
I can feel an angel sliding up to me"

and -

"One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble
Can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me"

Love this song, I enjoyed it when I was a teen. I love the 80s. Nothing compares to the 80s.

I grew up in one of the greatest decades of music of all time...the 80s....Sadly, I missed out on MTV as we didn't get cable until '89, but I remember radio stations in my town playing this and Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls" like 10 times a day...Long Live the Beatles and 80s music

I just saw this guy in Sunday, Bloody Sunday. A movie that came out in 1971! Good film.
