Hey Hey Chicago!

Today is another trip down memory lane! It is my old stomping grounds of wandering the Lakeview neighborhood in Chicago!

As a local real estate broker, I love inviting you into the different neighborhoods walking down the main arteries that give the neighborhood life as well as seeing the different side streets that create the dynamic of the area.

Lake View is one of my favorite neighborhoods and is extremely large! Today, we were not able to get to the entire neighborhood, but the best way to walk the area was to head east to west. This allows us to cut through all the different sub-neighborhoods that Lake View is known for.

Lake View has 4 distinct sub neighborhoods; including East Lakeview or NorthHalsted/Boystown (so many names for it!), Wrigleyville, Southport Corridor and West Lakeview. There also is a small little neighborhood on the south end of the area, but we just call that Lakeview.

The area has so much to offer - shopping, restaurants, nightlife, theater, and so many outdoor activities. There is great reason that a majority of our clients cling to the neighborhood.

That being said, if you are making a move to the city of Chicago or looking to purchase/sell your home here, please feel free to reach out to Samuel Ciochon at 312.513.5337. I'm a real estate veteran of 15 years, and I would love to guide you through the process and help you explore the different areas.

Great video. Your agency actually helped me purchase my condo on Hawthorne. Just a few thoughts:
The owner of Stella‘s recently purchased the bagel across the street, so we’re worried that he’s going to close one of them, we’re thinking Stella‘s. They’ve already cut back the hours.
The area I’d say west of Clark and south of Belmont feels a bit desolate, would be great if more commercial places or restaurants could move there.
You should bring the cupcake place back, really the only option is Chicago sugar daddy, which is good, but options
If you live along Lakeshore, I would not consider the train. Lots of awesome express buses to get you downtown which will be right outside your door and will make up the time you’ll need to walk the quarter of a mile or so to Belmont/Addison.
In the eastern part of the neighborhood, it’s very densely populated, also the sidewalks are extremely narrow, especially on Broadway and Clark. So if you walk a dog or have a stroller may have to plan a bit.
The annoyance theater on Belmont, arguably is what second city is to stand up except for improv. Legendary place.
Coda di Volpe, and coalfire, I think our two of only maybe five pizza places in the city that have officially been given the stamp of approval by this Neapolitan Pizza council… I don’t know what it’s called, you can look it up. But it’s somewhat prestigious in the Pizza world.
It’s interesting how it slows down once you get west of Racine, feels more like Roscoe Village.
Don’t be scared off by Swift and Sons, it’s their tavern, which is the more casual outpost compared to the formal steakhouse in the West Loop.
Sorry for the long comment, great video as always, really like this series

you're not suggesting people move to Irving Park and Ashland...the true heart of Lakeview

Broadway is not such a “little street” at all
