Cranial MRI’s of adults are just as horrifying. No one looks pretty without their skin.
As to the ultrasound, they are just as creepy, they just aren’t as detailed as an MRI, the ultrasound images are much grainier,
My younger brother went with me to one of my ultrasound appointments. He said it was the weirdest thing he’d ever seen. He was simultaneously in of awe and creeped out by the “tiny alien skeleton that is alive inside of you”.

I would plaster those all over my fridge, use them in a Facebook pregnancy announcement, in a "You're a grandma!" announcement, in a Christmas card, as my screensaver, phone background and the kid's caller ID photo, on my kid's eventual graduation and wedding day, and strongly encourage them to use it on their dating profile and CV I'm dying here😂😂😂

My daughter looked exactly like this during my ultrasound and the tech and my mom didn't understand why I was absolutely horrified by the picture. I freaked out and and was worried that my daughter was going to come out looking exactly like that. I kept asking them why did she look like that and they kept smiling and saying that she's perfectly normal. I don't understand why they didn't understand why I was mortified. They mustve forgotten that that was my first pregnancy?? I was worried all the way until the day she was born and and to my relief, she was a normal baby girl. That was so very stressful for me since that appointment. They even gave me 4 pics of that for me to take home to stress over. 😨

The weird part is just the fact that eyeballs appear. It's a human with a brain, eyes, nose, mouth, and all, so it makes sense, but when we see skulls or brain scans we typically don't see the pupil looking straight at us
