Bro that flashback not even a minute in, seeing the old room brought back so much nostalgia

I also think it still holds up to one of the best box designs too. I don't mind the ones with black backgrounds, but they lose the excitement of buying the set with a cool box, especially since each sets like the AT AT hold their own iconic story.

Seeing it next to you makes me realize how big it is, it’s incredible

It is absolutely crazy that it's been 6 years, I still remember it vividly when I picked up my copy

As someone who bought the knock off stand off of Amazon (exact same design as yours) I have had no issues with it, however I will probably upgrade to a clear stand like you showcased in the future. Needed a quick and cheap way to display it so I just went for the knock off. Otherwise great video! One of if not the best LEGO set of all time.

David, thanks for showing how the display stand displays to the Falcon. I bought and made the exact same stand for this. I am currently in the middle of building the UCS Falcon. Of course I started this journey last August. Instead of saving up for the $850 or so, I started by printing out the parts list from Rebrickable and adding to a wanted list in Bricklink. Then, I looked at what parts I had, and placed several orders for in store pick up with the Brickheads store in my area. I also sent there and picked individual parts from their loose brick inventory. The Sticker sheet was from Germany and the printed pieces (Cockpit, Antenna, etc) from Australia. So I spent a little over $600 to acquire the parts. I spent a few days separating all the parts by function in many clear cups and bins to make the assembly easier.

It’s disappointing that it didn’t have more of an interior

What made the Falcon the best UCS set for me was always the "doing just a bit more". Like adding an interior, an alternative dish, many minifigs. All things they didn´t need to do and most UCS sets also don´t do but it just gives it something extra. Like the UCS ISD, it looks amazing on display but that´s just it

This video was a great idea! With so many big sets these days, you can be forgiven for wondering if this set is still as great as it was when it was released. I've been going back and forth about whether or not to get this set for years now. On one hand, it looks awesome! On the other hand, I don't think I can justify that high price tag, especially when there are other big sets like the Venator and Hogwarts Castle on my radar. Plus, I have to think about how much more expensive it will be raising my one-year-old as he gets older, especially being a single dad.

Also, I share your views on the Last Jedi! It's nice to hear that some people appreciate it!

Spent my whole life hating Star Wars up til earlier this year. Fell in love with it and its lego sets. This Millennium Falcon was a masterpiece

It’s honestly a fantastic looking LEGO set coming from a non Millennium falcon fan.
But in terms “best out of box” I will have to say the At-At looks the best.

My only gripe with this kit is I wanted a TRUE ultimate Lego Millennium UCS Falcon.
Meaning, it needed ALL the figs of figures that have been onboard the Falcon.
You needed:
- ANH Luke, Ben, Han, Leia, R2. All new exclusive prints, etc.
- ESB Bespin Luke missing hand ;).
- ROTJ General Lando and Nien Nunb. All new figs, exclusive only to this kit.
Then of course we get Hoth Leia, and Hoth Han with some Mynocks and that's great. Love it.
Plus the Sequel Trilogy characters (which I get, hot movie at the time, and the switch on the front parts and radar dish for alt-build).
But I feel like many UCS sets that have up to 20+ figures, this set needed that treatment too. Would be like only 15 figs.
BUT, again, I probably have almost all of the figs to populate it, but so far no Nien Nunb :(

I always knew I was going to get this set. My white whale as a life long Star Wars fan who was too young to get the 2007 version back in the day.

Cut to 2020 and during the height of COVID, I ended up moving in w/ my Grandfather for the Summer to paint the exterior of his house; cleaning out the basement before pros came in to remodel it from scratch (lots of dismantling and cleaning of old furniture on my end) as well as cleaning out the Garage w/ 40+ years of stuff.
During this time, my mother was caring for my Grandfather, as he needed to have a life-saving surgery in June 2020, at the end of the Summer - she decides to surprise me with a trip to the LEGO Store on our way home and tells me, after 4 years - she was buying me the Millennium Falcon for all the hard work I put in (It came out to about $3.25/hr).

Life's been super busy w/ College, multiple moves (since July 2018, the longest I've spent in one place was 9 months - w/ no Falcon to build too - but for the most part I'm never in the same place more than 4 months) and several major family crisis', celebrations & reunions throughout the US & Ireland has meant the Falcon has been sitting in my Grandfather's house, waiting for me to build it.

My family is moving there full time in a few months, and after we're all settled in - I will finally build it, in the place which earned me the Falcon.

Definitely a sight to behold when I see it displayed at the Lego store but actually intimidates me to buy, build and display such a humongous piece (plus getting a stand for it). I enjoyed watching your review though and your enthusiasm for it

I've got knock off Lego for my stand and it's done amazing. 2 years still going strong. The plastic is definitely not as strong as Lego. But for the price can't complain.

I remember getting this back in July of 2020. When it was announced I was amazed. I had to save up and work some OT but it was totally worth it. I wanted to pick it up in person in store but it was always sold out. So I ordered it online. I was so nervous it would come damaged or get lost/ stolen. But it didn't and I LOVE it. Worth the $850 & $800 price tag. I also have the ISD, AT-AT. Too still need that Venator tho!
