A Message From Dave Schwartz on World Cancer Day

Meteorologist Dave Schwartz announces his battle with cancer and gives a message of hope to those who are currently battling cancer, or know of someone who is, or have lost a loved one from cancer.

He was one of the more entertaining meteorologists I ever watched. He liked to have fun with the weather. I can remember back in the 90s when I first watched him, he was talking about a place where it was really hot. He touched the map and acted like it burned his finger. lol Made me laugh when he did stuff like that. R.I.P.

Crying Right Now. I loved Dave, and every OCM from the start in 1982, Bruce Edwards, Dennis Smith, Mark Mancuso, Weather Will Annon, etc. I am so sad that Dave is Gone. He carried me so many times listening to his calm, soothing voice. He also loved to have Fun on Camera too. So sad, CANCER SUCKS!!!

HE was one of my weather heroes growing up. I even pursue my degree in meteorology just because I was soo fascinated with weather.

Who didn't watch Dave back in the 90s. The 90s was his prime and all the great meteorologists like Sharon Resulton, Terri Smith, Jeff Morrow, Dennis Smith, Mike Seidel, Jim Cantore, Vivian Brown and so many more who worked with Dave at weeknights. I grew up watching these great meteorologists.

Dave was always my favorite. He had such a great sense of humor. He could be serious one more and had you laughing on the floor the next. That was just him.

He had such a great attitude when he was battling cancer again. I hate that this third time took him.

RIP Dave. Thanks for entertaining us and bringing us weather for 22 years on The Weather. He will be missed.
