I like this series and how its done with the various metrics. I only disagree on how you did nattys but respect your method, its reasonable.

It is very hard to assess the MVC/Big 8/Big 12 conference without including Nebraska. I would love it if you could have rankings from the periods when college football had the SWC, Big 8, Pac 8, the Big 10 with 10 teams, the Big East, WAC, long-time independents, Army, Navy, etc. This would provide a historical context and a baseline to project how different programs have evolved over the years.

OU’s Big 12 dominance extends beyond the last 12-14 seasons by about another 8 years.

The intro to this video explains why the future of big12 is in trouble. It's strange to think that the future of this conference will be thought as the AAC is today. There's no national interest game left (rivals). Oklahoma didn't make the conference championship game only for the third time since they won in 2000( I think).

Both Texas and Oklahoma have won one national championship in the big 12. Big 12 championships are nice but the ultimate goal is the national championship.
So I'll call it a tie between the two.

Wow I didn’t realize the rest of the big 12 was that bad. And I thought Texas was better than that. OU looking just like USC in the Pac 12. Big fish in a small pond.

What about Independents like BYU, Army, Navy, and Notre Dame? They all have National Championships and have won a fair share of games at times.

What year was Kansas awarded a national championship?

I think Oklahoma has about 3 legitimate national championships. If you are put on probation for massive infractions for cheating, expecially when it involves several dozen recruiting violations and thousands and thousands of dollars immediately after winning a title you probably didn't win the title legitimately.

Shouldve done the ranks since 1900 --the year the rules changed, to modern day and current rules ..i get OSU wasnt great 1900-1922 --Michigan going something like 15-3-2 vs OSU during that time, with Michigan winning like 6-7 NC ... i mean making the list based on when "the rules started" seems like a better measuring stick

How relevant are these rankings? Lack of scholarship limits let some schools just be better than others and “buy” conference championships. It’s a much smaller pool of data but a fairer comparison of programs in recent memory and what those programs mean to recruits if you go from the some more relevant period like since the 85 scholarship limit or last X decades. Iowa State has only recently added to any of their numbers. KState could arguably be the third best team since 1990. He’ll Texas for the last 13 years is probably middle of the pack! Adding all those numbers from accolades before the 80’s just doesn’t seem relevant. Speaking of relevant, can you say Maimi, Florida State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Army, etc.? These are teams with NCs, major awards, AP pools, draft picks, etc but may never be relevant again or at least most for the last few decades or longer or may never be again. 🤔🏈🤔

Wow you spun this not as the Big 12 conference, you went back to the beginning of time. lol This exercise is to make the conference look horrible after OUT leaves. Shame on you. Pathetic!
