Well said… The value for money angle is so very true linked to poor customer service makes cancellation a no brainier. I think it is time we started voting with our feet and walking away from some of these part work companies.

I'm glad I saw this in my search for information about the Eleanor build from Eaglemoss. I was about to order this and definitely will not be doing so now.
Thank you so much.

I find that the quality isn't too bad for this as I built the deagostini shelby gt500 which is just an exact copy with this with a few extras, in that case I know which parts I'm getting and also when I'll get them.

Going on further with the brakes, eaglemoss did announce that there is replacement brake discs which are metal and have seen people post in groups that they got them in around pack 14.

The top of the engine is fairly easy to sort out as can a get the original deagostini version from issue 2 or 3 and find the same way.

I have thought the same about cancelling but I'm a completionist and with a few simple mods it will look great

It suck that we cant buy it as whole package. Only double the amount.
It has taken me 15 months to finally get all the parts for the nissan gtr r35. Its been 1yr later and just never assembled it because i want to paint it, and build it in stop-motion style. Just thinking about it just made me give up lol

I gave up on my Eaglemoss ‘55 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing because of TERRIBLE customer service and the real fact that I hadn’t received a single part in over a year.

They tried to blame it on “COVID”, yet I had other part work models coming to me on a regular basis.

I happened to see the entire kit from a seller on eBay back in July, bought it, and immediately called Eaglemoss to tell them to forget it.

No apologies, no “can we make it up to you?”……..nothing.

I’ll NEVER buy anything from them again! 😡

I canceled mine right at issue 30 as well, horrible detail, delayed shipments, bonus items that I was never emailed about just got tired of it. I have started some Agora models and the experience has been much better! There are some models on Eaglemoss that I do want to do though like the Excto1 and the Enterprise

Shame when customer service is shoddy and not a good sign..There’s a Model shop I don’t deal with as I just asked a question where my order was and I got a really rude e-Mail back and they were in the wrong.?.Took me several e-mails to sort there problem..So I learnt e-models are unprofessional..Life’s too short to wait around for even e worse service..Sorry you’ve gone through this and well done for calling them out.!

I had so many issues and problems with both Eaglemoss and Fanhome. Both of their Customer Service/Support is crap. Eaglemoss screwed up my whole collection because I just found out that they skipped a couple stages and I didn’t know. So when I started back with Fanhome, I got screwed by Fanhome. Eaglemoss sent me Kits 1-58 and then 63-66. So they completely skipped Stage 16 (kits 59-62) and I never thought anything about missing any stages, because I was told over and over again that they couldn’t skip stages or kits. So when I started my subscription with Fanhome not realizing that Eaglemoss had skipped Stage 16, so I started my subscription at Stage 18. So when I received my package this past weekend. I went and put all my stuff in the box with the rest of the kits. And then went to put the Instruction Manual in the Binder. That is when I realized that Booklet 16 and 17 wasn’t in there. So I then went through all my kits and then realized that Kits 59-62 were not in there. So then I went to the receipts and emails. And that is when both showed that I was never sent those Kits at all. So I called Fanhome to see how they can help me. They just told me that they couldn’t do anything and that it was all my fault that I was missing those Kits. So in the end they said that they won’t help me. But I that I have to start a whole new subscription to be able to get the skipped stage or kits. So now I am supposed to have two separate subscriptions. So I am starting to have the same terrible Customer Service/Support issues and problems with Fanhome as I was with Eaglemoss. Only difference is with Eaglemoss the person on the phone actually spoke and understood simple English, every person that I have talked to on the phone with Fanhome sounds Middle Eastern and I always have to talk to them like they are a toddle for them to understand what I am saying to them. Because they can’t understand simple English or Adult talk.

I tried the Ecto 1 but sadly Eaglemoss just does not care about their customers. They will lie to customers about delivery options, they will fail to even get the packages right, and after failing to deliver the correct magazine to me they literally just deleted my account and left me with an incomplete model that I would have to pay ridiculously high prices just to try and finish it. But unfortunately no one is making Eaglemoss accountable for their actions.

I built the 1/6 Hachette Honda S800M (imported from Japan) it has than absolute most detail of any other kit I've built.
I am currently building another Hachette kit: The Machine RS1 from some Japanese TV show. The detail and quality is off the charts.

Can you tell me how much is the whole kit price? Thank you.

i just commented on your fb post with this youtube showing. i guess we have different reasons. i however did not like the tires. the rims are good but i was hoping for a more realistic tire and not some hard plastic feeling thing. but yea other than the lack of detail the customer service and being charged for repeated parts which were sposed to be "other missing parts".. thas what did it for me to end it. and sadly the ecto im kinda goin thru the same thing. i still havent gotten the chassis or floorboards, same as eleanor.. car should be on its own wheels by now but its just front and rear chassis. ecto and eleanor.

I exclusively deal with modern military jet plastic model kits, so it's surprising to hear that there are modeling subscription services like this. If I'm understanding it right they send you some parts for a kit on a monthly basis? Can you help me understand why this is something anyone would want to pay for, from the outside it just seems like a pain but maybe there are some advantages I'm not seeing.

I built the de’Agostini Shelby GT500. It ended up costing €1’100 and trust me, it was not worth it. Much of the same issues you raised were the same. I won’t go on a rant but needless to say I was and still am very disappointed. To make it worse, I have a real 68 mustang fastback that I restored over seven years (as time and money would allow) into a BULLITT clone. The money I spent on the model would have bought me a new steering box. What a dope! 😡

Eaglemoss has the money 4 months before for customers blocking 16 numbers, which will be sent 4 x4 for 4 months

I agree with the build quality and detail. It is not very good. If I wasn't in so deep (kit 58) I would stop it too. The engine isn't even close. If it wasn't for the fact that I have spent money on a lighting kit for the front end to light all of the lights and a motor kit from the GT500. I am just in too deep now I think. The badging isn't correct. It just isn't good and we have been told that it is the copyright holder that made these changes and not EagleMoss. Either way it is worth about half of what we are paying for it.

You mentioned Agora models and their car kits but not everyone can afford 120.00 a month. I'd like to build the NY firetruck but to rich for my blood.

I can understand you(and others) are unhappy with the build but saying the Agora ‘Super Snake’ is better is a bit misleading, as like the Deagostini GT500 before it they are all essentially the same model with a few modifications!
My main gripes are the Shelby/Eleanor branding issues, most of which should be fixed with some mods!
Good luck with your other builds!
