Decades ago I paired a Sachs ergo power shift system with a Nexave rapid rise 8s ( costum shortcage) . The difference was amazing. Using the tip lever(behind the brake lever) to go to a smaller cog was instantaneous, just keep cranking on the pedals and bam ...seamlessly into the nex higher gear change. Grabbing lower gears was also seamless ...count off the number of gears you what to go to and let the derailleur spring smoothly push over to the bigger cogs. I've had that set up on my cyclocross/commuter ever since. My Zurich is set up with Utegra 8s and a short cage XTR Rapid Rise RD. So nice. I believe this would improve this Campagnolo system too. Why it will work better is the over shift in the system is going to the smaller cog and it drops the chain nicely onto the smaller cog instead of that slight delay for the chain to catch the next smaller cog. Going the other way the spring in the derailleur holds the chain pressed up against the next bigger cog until the gate so it rolls the chain onto the larger cog while still attached to the previous smaller cog. So when you click the release lever it just keeps doing that one at time until you get to the cog you clicked off with no fuss and no need to back off. 😊

I used campy record and super record for 30 years.the most dependable sure shifting ever. But I am 76 now. Still know it never missed a shift

Unfortunately working slow, because rear derailleur is so far to casette with high range casettes. Best shifting performance with close ratio.
