my 5 year old son has learnt this (and others), has been having lessons since last october.. did his first fais in december (came first) and dancing for the county in april in the under 6s :)

What really gave me a boost was the hard-shoe stuff (the type of dance that got me started taking classes)
I knew hard-shoe dancing only from the local theatre and from TV till then and never in my life have I experienced something so beautiful and incredibly loud and powerful as 12 pairs of hardshoes hitting the floor.
I just sat there and watched in awe...
