Ivanisevic was really unique and his Serve was the original cannon. One of my Favourite players when I was a boy growing up

Stefan Edberg was asked once how he thought Courier looked playing tennis with a baseball cap.
Edberg said, "He looks like an American".

jim courier's backhand looks like a lefty batting stance in cricket

This brings back memories. Imagine if Goran had just a bit more from the baseline. What a talent.

If only Courier's backhand was half as effective as his lethal forehand, he may have doubled his tally of grand slams. My favourite player from back in the day and the hardest worker on tour during his early years after Lendl!

Courier swung his racquet like a baseball bat. The sound, oh my God! Dude was very fun to watch play.

Courier has the most baseball looking backhand ever

I didn't realize until now how little unit turn Courier had on his groundstrokes. He armed those shots!

I must say kudos to goran for staying in this rally. His rallies usually average two or three shots.

OMG, I forgot the insane angles Jim could hit his forehand with. That inside out FH looked like he didn't even have space to swing, and went so easily in the corner.

Title and thumbnail had me a little worried

Courier had probably the most aesthetic two handed backhand.

Courier wasn't pretty, but he was effective. Until Sampras and Agassi started to dominate.

Used to lie watching Courier. Always so him as an early rebel of tennis post McEnroe

I never really understood tennis how to play it even though a guy in tennis article " Sports Illustrated" said to me " when you're playing Connors and Borg ! But when I repeated to my dad " you're nuts"😊😊

I remember Goran not even playing the return games properly, after he managed a break, because he knew he would win all his service games with aces. He even got warnings, for not playing properly, when returning, imagine. :-p It was fun to watch. I was a kid, just smiling in my bed, hehe. One could say, ''He wasn't used to run much.'', but that would be insulting to anyone on that level. Still true, because he mostly didn't HAVE to run much to win .
