Best Way to Clean Carpet - Bissell Big Green Machine - Carpet Cleaning made easy #springcleaning

The Bissell Big Green Machine claims to be the best way to clean carpet. In this video I'll put it to the test with a cream colored shag carpet that is quite dirty. The Bissell Big Green Machine does a great job cleaning carpets of different pile heights. Just add hot water and Bissell cleaning solution and you are good to go.

I bought an extra solution tank and use it for clean water rinse. So one tank is used for hot water + cleaning solution, then I switch to the clean water tank and go back over the carpet to remove as much of the soapy solution as possible. Takes longer of course, but it should be getting maximum amount of soap out of the damp carpet. A couple of extra passes to pull as much water out as possible really helps the drying time - although I did invest in a couple of carpet dryer fans that I set up in a room for an hour or two after I'm done cleaning. For home use, the Big Green is fine if you take your time.
