The US UK trade alliance is currently negotiating trade with the EU. Tariffs look to be going up on German car exports, and the UK will obviously lockstep in tandem with the US.

Post Brexit, the US and the UK working together in unison can project their influence across Europe, and deliver to their citizens the jobs and prosperity membership of the EU failed to provide.

Germany does look to be heading towards a recession, its not a good negotiating position to be in, but thankfully the EU negotiates on their behalf, so when it all goes wrong, Merkel can point the finger to Brussels.
