Two things:

First, Karil's Crossbow is actually an amazing weapon in its own right. It has really good DPS, and is popular in the Fight Caves minigame.

Second, the Karil's set effect is highly useful in Deadman Mode, where it can prevent fleeing players from using agility shortcuts to escape.

make a guide on spellbooks. i got lunars and never used it. i dont have ancients because i dont plan on using it. but its nice to know whats handy on lunars

A lot of people don't know this, but the higher your agility level the harder it is for you to get hit by ranged attacks. So lowering the opponents agility makes the Karils hit more accurately.

I think that I may have found a use for Karil's. Anywhere where Agility comes into play for an escape route. Lava Dragon Isle and Rev Caves come to mind. Lower their agility to the point where they can't use it to escape. Also, this reduces how quickly their run energy regens, combo with Torag's and you MIGHT be able to cut off an escape, but you're still better off ensnaring or freezing your opponent.

In my opinion, torag's set effect should be depleting the opponents special attack bar or another idea is if in pking situations, a stun effect to the opponent which lasts for about 1.5 secs.

Question and comment. Do the barrows sets that drain levels e.g. Ahrim and Karil stack? Meaning could they take you down to 0 or below? Or are they capped? For example if you hit someone enough with a full Karil's set you could potentially take them down to 1 agility which would have a similar effect to Torag's. Having said that I feel like the only way Karil's special would be useful would be if there was a situation where the only escape was an agility shortcut and the opponent's agility level was only slightly higher than the one required and you lowered their level so they couldn't escape. Oh and they were tbed first...

get a ton of people together with torags, find people killing bosses in wilderness and attack them with at least 20 people and a tber. free kills

quick advice, Show each special effect as a video on runescape. It's nice to visualise sometimes instead of reading texts all the time.
