"Perpetuum Mobile" (Perpetual Motion) is written by the German composer Franz Ries (1846-1932). It's the fifth movement from his "Suite No. 3 in G-Major for Violin and Piano, Op. 34." It was first published in 1898.
A "perpetual motion" is a type of music composition which features a continuous and non-stopping stream of fast notes, which is intended to display the endurance and virtuosity of the performer.
