If you know how Devon speaks he does that all the time, remember how high he always says Matt Mask’s level is every time they train together? He likes to hype people up who are his friends.

I dont know man. His commitment, his frame, his previous Worlds Strongman achievements and his passion which he shows now for armwrestling indicates that he will shake up the whole Super heavy weight division. Its just a matter of time. And how fluent he moves a the table as of now is also very surprising giving the few month he is doing that stuff. Iam convinced he will be terrifying in the future. The good thing is, that he is very much open minded and self driven to explore different approaches to it. Saying Devons style of training is not for him and so forth. When it comes to Strength movements he did the same with Strongman. Always looking for something which serves him best.

Eddie Hall is going to lose, badly... this isn't a fight, this is hype for Brian Shaw's armwrestling career

When Eddie and Brian pulled 6 months ago he was mentioning in the video that he was already getting coached by Neil.

Devon is basically fighting a proxy war in Georgia

Vitali did "only" 55kg in straight back pressure lift, where Levan did 80+, That just shows how much bullshit these lifts can be. It's all about leverage. I bet Devon can't do even 50kg in pure back pressure lift

Bottom line is once Brian Shaw figures out the technical side of our wrestling. He’s gonna be the heavyweight champion, both arms, not even an argument.

Devon knows how to armwrestle but brian knows how to get strong. If brian follows his own training and takes the armwrestling advice from devon, it's the best anyone can hope for. Maximize your gifts.

Eddy and Brian talked about having a match quite a while ago in one of the videos, Eddie said if they trained for 4-6 months they would be ready to go and if I recall Eddy had already had some training because he was correcting Brian on arm/elbow placement at that time...Eddy might have only started to take it seriously as of late but I think he has been doing it longer than he is letting on....these two are very competitive especially when it comes to one another.

Devon’s style is really good for him. He’s went almost all in on specifically right handed pronation training. He’s ultra specialized in the hand and wrist to nearly Levan level, but the rest of his body is lacking in comparison to that. Luckily he used to be the high hook god so it’s not like he has NO other tactics, but everyone can see when he’s armwrestling his hand and wrist is absorbing most of the damage in matches because it’s at such a high level.

Brian Shaw already has a crazy base strength level unlike Devon, so specializing in one thing and neglecting his other gifts doesn’t sound proper. I don’t think Devon should coach anyone tbh lol his style works because he’s put so much time into it but building your hand and wrist to that level is INSANELY hard, probably harder than just having an okay hand, and exceptional everything else.

I think Brian falls more in line with Michael Todd’s training style. More strength/gym/PR based.

My 2 cents: AW for Devon really is a martial art and he treats it like art.
On the other hand, guys like Levan are close in terms of technic, but taking it as a strength sport and trying to become as strong as they can become in every aspect, not just their arm as Devon did in giant pumpkin training.
Devon's approach worked when AW was smaller, heavyweight was 130kg and he could dominate that, but now as you can make a living of AW some real heavy strength athletes appeared and against them the previous approach does not work.

I think this is what Brian mentioned about Devon's way not fitting him. He NEEDS to be hella strong allround WHILE focusing on AW movements.

Eddie not some weak dude. Question is how much is Eddie willing to risk in this match. Eddie has mma match in couple more weeks. Eddie should have took this match after his mma match so he could of focus just on armwrestling.

The best coach for Brian shaw i believe is John Brzenk and he is already here in the u.s.

Can he defeat Devon? Yes it's possible. Can he actually do it when it counts, in a Super Match format with a well prepared Devon, who uses every little trick and plays a bit dirty? now that is a very different question

Everyone who has tried the so-called Pronate lifting, knowing that pronation is not really what makes the lift stick. It is a biceps and brachioradialis lift mainly. There are better movements for practicing pronation.
