I just replaced my motor, and to answer some questions. Mine was in the locked position, and I removed the steering column. I pried open a tiny gap in the box after removing the two visible pins, through that I was able to spinn the lock open with a pick. Then removed the two remaining pins to lift off the lid. After replacing the motor, leaving the plastic wheel in the unlocked position, you have to carefully push back the "unlock sensor" on the circuit board when placing it back over the motor assembly. He did not show that in this video. After that, the motor worked fine after reassembly. I had to mount the steering wheel twice to get it straight, and then do a steering wheel alignment after getting a fault message that run flat indicator and electronic stability was not working. Basically start the car, and turn the steering wheel stop to stop five times. Also I do not know if it was related, but the car would suddenly not go into gear with the selector placed out of P. Here I reset the automatic transmission by turning ignition on second position. Push accelerator to full depressed for fifteen seconds. Then turn key fully counter clockwise, but leave it in for five minutes before removing. Voila, runs perfectly :)

Hi was wondering if my elv fails in locked position if I drill a hole and turn wheel inside so I can remove locking bolt and replace motor will it still work..?

Hello friend! If the lock was in fully unlocked position when removed, should i still scroll that white thing untill is become unlocked?

The Benz dealership will charge you $1300 to fix it here in GA ((USA )) when in reality all you need is a $20 part.

i replace the little motor and still did not do anything
