I also want to add you can also do the reverse thing: Gmaj7 over Em9 for ex.
Try a Gmaj7 arpeggio over a 251 in Dmaj and you'll see what I'm saying!
Take care

Hi Armin! This is really cool concept it would be great if you could have a video where you choose a standard like Stella by starlight and walk through each chord and which formation you would play over it from the beginning to finish then have a bit of improv using those formations.

Great stuff. How about an example of a cool lick/phrase you pulled off a record from Peter Bernstein, and show how you used minor conversion to work it into your playing. Maybe jam over a few standards or simple progressions to demonstrate the power of the method.

I get that the formations sound good but I'm still yet to understand why you would convert every chord to minor. What's the usefulness of this? It's extra work for what? You can use the formations without having to mentally convert every chord to minor. I simply don't see the benefits of it.

Super cool, instead of learning to play up and down scales you go straight to learning Jazz language and sound legit. Thanks for bringing the potential of this approach to my attention as I really passed over Pats book just thought it was just another licks book. Hope you get to 20k soon.
