Here's what I actually use the Apple Vision Pro for one year later.

I want it. I still do. The demo in the Apple Store absolutely blew me away. I genuinely believe it to be the future of computing. But I can’t justify that price. It seriously needs to come down.

It’s one of those things… people who fell for it will pretend it’s worth it rather than admit they screwed up.

I just ordered mine. I struggle with ADHD and I want to try and do all my work productivity between that and my Mac to see if it helps me stay more focused- I have heard for remote work this can be a good tool. I own my own business so I’m accountable to me but I would like to go into focus that’s so immersive I don’t get sidetracked

For a mainstream device, $3500 is a little much. But, there are a lot of boutique electronics on the market, especially in the audio space (Astell & Kern SP3000 DAP), that are way more expensive and do a whole lot less than the Vision Pro. For what the Vision Pro can do and the build quality, it is a steal in my eyes.

I work now for about 5 years full time in VR (8 to 9 hours) and now I only use Apple Vision Pro. I started with Q2 than for long time QPro and I also used Q3. AVP is the best. Q3 have no eye and face traking and only cartoony avatars. I is not practical for meetings. I switched back to QPro. And now with the AVP it is great. My customer sometimes forget that I use an avatar in Zoom. At the moment there is no competition for a hole package. For only virtual monitors I hope the visor will be great. I can than work in Visor and switch for meetings in AVP. For my VR workspace is the AVP great. I have no desk anymore.

Great video Brian. I'm looking and still just on the fence about getting a gently used one. Just chasing the right price for now. thanks. I'm really finding lots of videos and also comments just like you saying that they don't regret it and DO use it everyday AND that they're still blown away.

The killer app for these devices could be immersive sports. For example, real time / streamed view of Formula 1 drivers view to the Vision Pro. Revenue could be earned through stream subscriptions, perhaps on a tiered basis for team selection or the entire championship.

I really think the VP will be like the original iPhone where once ppl actually used it they fell in love.

I’ve been seeing these more and more, people using them while walking and on outings it’s so weird like cyberpunk

My thing right now is that the first generation of every single Apple product has been set like a prototype for those that are super geeks that once you buy the latest and greatest and do not care about the price tag as long as it is the newest thing. If you look at the first Apple Watch, which I did buy, it was so under performing the software was lackluster and misdirected as they wanted to be a communication device where they now have shifted it to a health device same thing with the iPad, the iPad was more leaning into as a Reader device that would allow you to operate doing email and reading books a more comfortable setting where it is now pivoted to a multi tool on the go device and now has its own software even though it’s still not 100% there, but both of these products didn’t getthe jump that they needed until the second generation, which is what we have to wait for where all the kinks are worked out and they go for the mass market with it with a price tag the match

6:16 it is unlikely that Samsung’s is going to undercut the AVP’s pricing so much that the used AVP’s will drop below $1000. 😅
You say it works as an analog for a multi-monitor setup and it has an amazing movie watching experience.
I wonder how much you think those things are worth if not approaching $3500.
And that’s not even all it does.

It’s silly to say “I save a bunch of space” by removing a LCD. Might as well use cloud PC and ditch the Laptop.

A clarification question for you... regarding the virtual display use case, you mentioned the challenges of "pixel perfect" use case scenarios. So, for example, if someone were trying to do UI design work with these, where pixel perfect scenarios come up often, it would be frustrating to attempt UI design work say in Figma with the virtual display?

Holy 💩.
That opening is something.
How is it that its BIGGEST, not just your preferred, strengths and weaknesses are just… being a monitor - ignoring all the rest it is and has to offer?

I guess I’ve got to keep restocking if I want to find out.

What did you mean when said if you wanna risk taking it through security when traveling? Do u mean like that the security will steal it?

I bought one and I still love it. It's a gadget for me and a nice experience when I am in the mood for it.

still wanted my parents to demo the AVP primarily for precaution's sake. my aging dad collapsed from fatigue, so a prolonged use may likely increase such chances of fatigue

This is THE ONLY video I have found of someone who actually kept this and didn’t just get it to review and return!❤
