Well maybe it was foreshadowing his death or perhaps the green men take him in after the battle and he and his dragon crash there.

Finallly someone else noticed that it was a Green Man!

Freaked me out when I saw that shot, I thought it was a foreshadow for House Baratheon usurping the Iron Throne

I genuinely think Daemon might be dragged from the water of the Gods Eye by the green men when he falls. I've loved how much this show is leaning into the spooky old gods stuff, and if he ends up on the isle of faces we could learn some amazing things

You can hear the hoof when the creature walks, and a growl like a wolf.

I love the way HotD bravely wades into GRRM’s supernatural element that GoT under D&D shied away from ….

Lot of people thought it was one of the children 🤦‍♂️

David lightbringer has very good and in depth videos about the green men and their lore

I was wondering who was that. Thanks for clarifying.

The question is why is he showing him visions of white walkers and Daenerys, when we all know that Arya kills the Night King and ends the Long Night.. So this whole prince who was promised prophecy is a waste of time..

I have the suspicion that Daemon is going to end in the isle of faces after the final battle with Aemond and probably get killed by the greenmen (since Alys told him “you’re going to die in this place”)

Honestly, considering what we got, I would’ve preferred the entire episode just be spooky lore like this rather than Alicent and Rhaenyra having the same conversation YET AGAIN.

In "A Song of Ice and Fire, " the most powerful and significant character is actually Brynden Rivers, a legitimized bastard by Aegon the Unworthy. The reason Aegon the Conqueror united the Seven Kingdoms was to stand against the Night King, and the prophecy of Azor Ahai is believed to descend from Aegon's bloodline. Despite the victory of the Greens in the civil war, the second son of Rhaenyra and Daemon, Viserys II, would have a bastard grandson named Brynden Rivers. With Valyrian magic and First Men blood from House Blackwood, this lineage accelerates the potential Azor Ahai prophecy. The power of skinchanging or the Three-Eyed Raven is more formidable than House Targaryen's dragons, allowing them to continue ruling through the Hand of the King and Master of Whisperers, Lord Bloodraven. Despite being legitimized as a Targaryen prince, Brynden remains loyal to his half-brother, King Daeron II, after the Blackfyre Rebellion.

Brynden Rivers has the ability to manipulate the future through a eugenic program, ultimately leading Aegon V (Egg) to become king and marry into House Blackwood, thus combining pure Valyrian magic and First Men blood through incestuous marriages. From Jaehaerys II to Aerys II, the Targaryen incestuous line led to Rhaegar Targaryen, whose birth is linked to the Summerhall tragedy during Aegon V's attempt to hatch dragons, which ultimately failed. Targaryen madness is rooted in the Blackwood DNA, contributing to moral decay and insanity. Despite their cruelty, the Targaryens aimed for a greater and wiser purpose, as Brynden Rivers famously said, "The end justifies the means." Finally, the Prince That Was Promised is believed to be Jon Snow or Aegon VI Targaryen..

Who else got True Detective season 1 vibes from that so-called "green man" with the antlers?

What about the theory that Daemon is a greenseer and becomes the three eyed raven pre bloodraven (lord brynden)???

Coldhands was a green man who’s been reanimated by ice. He used to have Greenhands.

I thought it represents Robert Baratheon the demon of the trident

the green man had HOOVES in the scene. i think the myth of the antlered, green, more children of the forest esque version of the green men was confirmed with this

I cant wait for the scuffle over the gods eye. Gonna be the best part of the show. I see Daemons face somehow becoming one of the trees

HotD has offered two (or three) possible explanations for the dreams of prophecy.

The third option first as its been the most talked about and is older is that Blood Raven sends all the dreams (or an entity possessing Blood Raven)

Second option is the dragons are dreaming and they see past and future in their dreams and are warging with the dragon riders and sharing their dreams.

Third option is that the dreams are coming from Cthonic gods who are just using the men and kings as pieces on a chess board as they play a long game.

Think of these gods as people playing a 4x strategy game each controlling different factions via dream and occasional possession of an avatar.

This option is also the Blood Raven option if Blood Raven is a possessed avatar of an old god who now wants Bran to be his new, younger, fresher host.
