Not as strong as last years show but still an enjoyable show nonetheless.

I love how the main Impact theme starts with the same intro used for MVP's theme from when he was there in 2014. Another great PPV from Impact, not amazing but an easy watch.
Ultimate X was a fun opener, Kushida winning and Lio winning the X division title later in the night is interesting, 2 NJPW guys potentially facing off for the X division title.
The KO tag title match was solid enough, Masha and Kelly are a... interesting team.
The Scott D'amore match was your basic novelty match. Reminds me of when they had JB in a match at Slammiversary 2017, I can't believe EY was somehow brought back from the dead lol, but no it was pretty cool seeing him come back to team with D'amore as we got a Team Canada reunion. It's crazy how Eric Young quietly re-signed with WWE, never made it to tv, was supposed to be in Bray Wyatt's new faction, then left cause he didn't want to work for Vince. This match was fun and of course D'amore and EY get the win.
I don't get why the X division title match went the way it did. I was excited for this match but they did an injury angle and immediately took it home. Is Sabin legit hurt or something? Lio winning the title is pretty cool, he's really revived his career after his WWE departure but yeah I was disappointed with this.
The tag title match was your basic multi team clusterfuck. I did not expect Subculture to win but it's a refreshing team to see with the tag titles. Ace of Beys had an awesome run with the titles.
I'm surprised Eddie Edwards beat Kazarian since the whole angle was Traci being in Kazarian's corner to even up the odds. I honest to God do not get what Impact sees in Eddie Edwards. He's a good worker but I just don't see him as a top guy and I also am not fucking with this hardcore psycho gimmick he's been on since like 2018.
Here it is, Trinity's first major title opportunity since leaving WWE and I think she did pretty well, she had a great dance partner in Deonna who made her look really good and her winning the title was a good moment. It's cool to see her thriving again cause like her or not, WWE definitely dropped the ball with her hard so to see her somewhere where she feels at home again and able to be herself to nice to see.
Main event time and I was really unsure where they were going with this, I wanted Shelley to retain but figured they were gonna put the belt on Aldis. They told a very basic and simple story of the experienced big match guy Aldis dominating Shelley and Shelley having to get aggressive in his comeback. I thought the match was over with the low blow and thought wow that's a shitty finish but no Shelley toughs it out and is able to retain and apparently that's it for Aldis in Impact at the moment. I like him, not sure if he's truly a top guy but he's come a long way from his first TNA run and I think is at least able to play the part as the top heel well. I don't see him going to WWE or AEW and anywhere feels like a downgrade compared to Impact so yeah I don't know what he does next. Like I said, I think Impact was probably the best spot for him but we'll see. Post match and we get the return of JOSH ALEXANDER who apparently is back ALREADY? Holy fuck they said he was gonna be out for the rest of the year and he said how bout 3 months tops. Great to see him back, however they don't immediately rush to put the belt on him. He's great but he was also champion for like a year so it'd be nice to see him in the chase for a little bit. Plus I want this Shelley title run to go as long as it possibly can. I would say maybe do Shelley vs Alexander at BFG, looking at the current roster, that's probably the biggest match they can do for a BFG main event at the moment.
