Airbus to end production of A380 aircraft

Airbus will stop production of the world’s largest passenger plane in 2021 after Emirates, its biggest customer, cut its order for the A380 aircraft

The A380 came too late and it is too big. The 747 has been "lucky", it was built when there was really a need for a big airplane and it was also designed and build with becoming a freighter in mind. Too sad to see the A380 go.

Boeing was right, there is no future for larger aircraft. Hence they decided only to lengthen the 747 and pursued to build smaller but efficient aircraft like the dreamliner to which the airbus countered with their own A350.

The "Jumbo" ruler of the skies! Still, the days of the Quads are over, the A380 was simply too late to the game. Frankly, I never understood why Airbus went down this path when long-range twins were rapidly conquering the commercial aviation market, ego, I suppose.

*Only way for it to survive is to sell the entire A380 production business unit to a Chinese aircraft manufacturer. Then the Chinese manufacturer can develop a brand new cargo freight A380 version sometime in the future. Only way for the A380 to be revived some day.*

im an airplane lover.i see the A380 as the nicer .smoother.aircraft, , but i dont feel comfortable.and i think it risky to 5 to 800 people in 1 aircraft..think about air china .crashed in the mountain, air corean.shot down..TWA..crashed in long island..more and more, , , so we have no doubt.that an A380.WILL crash soon or later ..but loosing all those people at onse will b sad...

Really sad...the A380 is way better than the 747...only born in the wrong era
