Searing Exarch altars are still better overall than Eater ones, but not by much and you should feel completely fine mapping with either of them now.

i agree with what you said, but i want to add in 1 more thing : sanctum generates even more absurd amount of awakened sextants....i'm talking 30+ per run ( i had runs that had 60 sextants or more ) and we consume none of them at all, that makes sextants extremely cheap.

The delayed spawn is what makes not wanting to pick eater since I rush to harvest and just don´t have the time to wait until the monsters spawn.

I had an divine altar the first time ever on day3. Got 27 divine in city square.

I actually got both divine altars so far this league, rather early on. With a relatively low-juiced map and no atlas points in the blue altars at the time I only got 3 div from the minion variant.
