Thomas Pridgen spoke about this on his drumeo lesson. He said when he got to music school a teacher humbled him by telling him to play paradiddles over a samba beat. Once he had that he said play 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 stroke rolls over it. Followed by every other rudiment in the book. LOL!

This was GREAT!!! Some are gifted drummers and some guys are gifted teachers. You’re both. You are definitely a gifted teacher. When I was younger, my good friend was and still is a tremendous drummer. Sadly, he was not a good teacher. Wish you would’ve been my neighbor LOL. Great video👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great lesson. One suggestion....maybe it would be useful to practice it both ways from single to triple and then backwards. Keep up the good work!👍👍👍👍
