One question ...why haven't the navy been fined for both leaks yet?..give them the bill and not the locals or make them pay too upgrade the other wells .

What does spill mean to Islanders & habitats for long term future.

Yeah right. If the Navy only spilled 30 gallons, they would’ve mopped it up and never said a thing to the public.

So navy can make more fuel leaks, but board of water supply punish the island people. Something definitely wrong with that picture ernie.

Sad thing is that service members suffered 1st due to lack of monitoring & oversight. It’s a travesty that our water samples need to be tested on the mainland too.

All the more reason to push this as a priority and to actually have someone on site overseeing what the armed services seems to think is okay and not okay.
Multiply the 30 gal by 20% un-truth, another 20% of how many other areas have to be dealt with and we're talking eventually thousands of gallons spilled again during the cleanup process.

Thank you for your service!

Risk assessment? 27%?! 1000- 30000 gallons?!?!? Never mind the EPA get some kanaka in there that’s been drinking this for years and will continue to drink it
