India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won from Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi constituency. Trends show the BJP-led NDA is leading in over 294 seats, crossing the majority mark. Meanwhile, Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi has won Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli. He is contesting the seat vacated by his mother and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has also won Kerala's Wayanad seat. The early winners include Home Minister Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, Anurag Thakur from Hamirpur, Kiren Rijiju from Arunachal West, and H.D. Kumaraswamy from Mandya in Karnataka. Meanwhile, stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty declined nearly 6% on the counting day.
