living in new york city as a minority women is terrifying to say the least. every time i ride the train or walk down the street im always aware that it could be my last time to do so. christina’s passing was so horrifying and the cctv footage of her walking quickly to her apartment and then seeing the perpetrator behind her made my heart drop. her passing is so sad because the perpetrator has so many pending charges and continuously is rereleased. our city has failed her along with many more. im so heartbroken that the asian community is being so hardly hit by this failure. that feeling of loneliness you described is truly like no other and because of that, i do not even have words of condolences. i will hope for your safety, the safety of others, and that our city will do better to protect us all but especially asian americans who are now at the forefront of these terrible instances.

That poem was beautiful!! 😭 ngl I got a little teary hearing u talk about Christina. It’s absolutely terrifying and we are all left to think “am I next?” We should not have to be in fight or flight mode the moments we step outside our doors, but that is our reality unfortunately.

This is a very beautiful book. It is also nice to see that semi transparent sheer fabric doesn’t need a stabilizer fabric behind so it is already clean and ready to use when the embroidery is finished. Thanks also for the tips 🌹
