Discord has a Soundboard… uh oh

I can already hear the immense amount of spam and pain that Discord's new soundboard feature will provide to this platform. Using a soundboard on Discord has one purpose, to annoy your friends. Now this feature has a couple of cons and a couple of pros. Pros, you can troll your friends. Cons, annoying kids can troll you and the soundboard CAN BE VERY VERY LOUD.

Just wanted to say that Resources are meant for static documents to help a user navigate your server or learn about something important related to your server. Announcement channels can't be selected because those are constantly being updated with new messages, and this is the reason why you didn't get the ping in the resources channel. Hope this helps!

I've been waiting for this feature to be actually released, it's gonna be so helpful when in VC with the friends I totally have. I knew about this feature, and the clips feature, for a while with the discord experiments tab and I'm happy it works now

The get started feature is amazing! I've heard from many server owners and from my experience that new members don't interact with the server, and that's why it becomes inactive and many have lost partnership for that too. This will probably make new members learn the good stuff about a server more and makes servers more active

I already got rate limited by spamming "Kitchen Gun" in my own discord server...we laughed our ass of because it glitched out and kept repeating for like 30 minutes straight without my icon lighting up in the voicechat and I couldn't hear it myself

Just want to mention a cool program called Soundpad which isn't limited to Discord and doesn't require server boosting to have more soundboard slots. It also only costs a 1 time payment of 5 bucks as opposed to Discord's dumb pricing model for server boosts. Plays the sounds right through your microphone. Just some food for thought.

the server of me and my friends has the soundboard feature for 2 or more weeks now and i have to say that it is one of the best features for calls.
Gotta say that the Vine boom is the best sound you can use

6:47 You can't set your announcement channel as resource because announcements channels can't be resource pages, only text channels in which @everyone can't write.
