The MeatStick 4X Wireless Thermometer

I gave the new MeatStick 4X a try on various cooks including rotisserie and sous vide; two cooking methods that can benefit from a wireless thermometer.

I absolutely lobe mine! I have the bridge with 2 4x probes. Great range, consistent temp reads, great app with tons of functions & graphs & quick connections. Majority of probes aren't graded or used for searing or why use it for 2 minutes over open fire? I also have the chef probe if needed for thin meats but I don't probe for thin meats. Not necessary.

I like the idea for those who require some help identifying how their grilling is coming along. Not every one has lots of experience with the grill or smoker. We grill, and we grill regularly. We have arrived at grilling understanding that the process is as rewarding as the finished product. When the food is being cooked, my wife or I is ALWAYS there to oversee it. This would only be useful for us on a smoker. Cheers Larry.

I have MEATER which work extremely well. Highly recommend you try them. I have the 4 probe block which connects the Bluetooth probes to my wifi and works great:)

Nice honest review Larry… I have been avoiding theses since they came out, for the very reasons you mention. I have a 4 probe (wired) InkBird, that connects to Wi-Fi…. I don’t do much rotisserie, so it’s generally not a problem for me… Should I find a wired situation not working for me… I just use an instant read, occasionally throughout the cook! I have the Meator probe. At first it worked pretty well but the range was always poor. I’d put the charging box right next to the grill but once you close it, you lose connection every time.

Had it a year and now the range is so bad I’m about to just toss it. Plus it takes sooo long to provide an eta in the cook it’s nearly done by the time you receive the info you need. Perhaps I’ll give this one a shot.
