When fighting a mob in your storage area make sure to not use tnt.

*OR* Bow the mob that is on your farm

*OR* Sleep through the night

*OR* Walk away and do other things

You dont need to protect your crops from mobs that cant hurt it, just light the place up and fence around it so they cant go on the farmland. Its pretty simple
