I think "Tomorrow Never Dies" is the last pure formula driven Bond film. It was just a fun ride, very saterical, and just wanted to entertain its audience. Nice props David.

I love Tomorrow Never Dies. It is an excellent movie, great story, it has a great villain in Elliot Carver wonderfully played by Jonathan Pryce. Great gadgets, that phone was awesome and remember that's when cell phones were just starting to get popular but for me it was all about Wai Lin. This movie came out early in my Kung Fu training, so having a Kung Fu movie star like Michelle Yeoh  in a Bond film just made me ecstatic. I love Michelle Yeoh, (massive crush and my wife is okay with that) and loved her films since she was in the Jackie Chan film Super Cop. So to have her in a Bond film had both my loves Kung Fu and Bond come together. And it's just a great film!

Wow - David is just a Bond content creating MACHINE!
New videos CONSTANTLY!
Thank you!
Great and beautiful addition to the classic Zaritsky 007collection.
You are absolutely right - it is a CLASSIC Bond gadget - and like all of the best gadgets in the series - it is something that EVERY Bond fan would want to use in real life.
(I had a real phone just like it - but that tragically did NOT operate my car at all)
I actually think we’ve seen this type of remote control car idea used now in other films
and television shows.
I even think that I’ve seen that there are now real cars that can be operated with a genuine remote control.
But as usual with these classic gadget ideas - it all started with James Bond!

Tomorrow Never Dies was the only Bond DVD I owned when I was a kid so it has a lot of viewing time for me. For me it has some of the best background soundtrack, like in the parking garage scene. My favorite of mine though is "Chopper to Saigon, " it just sounds so unique. It reminds me of Perfect Dark which was another spy game I played as a kid.

That’s actually really cool to hear that Tomorrow Never Dies is a top 5 Bond film for you. It is for me to and that’s a rare thing. License To Kill is also in my top 5 too but the other 3 main ones are Goldeneye at 1, then Casino Royale, then Skyfall

I was about 10 years old when I first saw TND, and the scene with the phone/car was the coolest thing I'd ever watched on screen! I prefer GE and TWINE overall, but I still rate that scene as my favourite Brosnan action moment.

P.s. - I second the request for an updated collection tour! :)

Totally agree about TND, it always changes places with Goldeneye for the number 10 spot. Love the Ericsson phone, I remember the advert from 97 and how the advert played up the Bond angle. Remember purchasing the Sony Ericsson Quantum of Solace phone... Not a fan of that phone.
