Facts about the European Hedgehog

It's Hedgehog Awareness Week and so we thought we'd share this informative little video crammed full of cute shots of hedgehogs roaming around in the wild!

(Please note this video was originally made last autumn, so it's not actually the time of year that hedgehogs are about to go into hibernation)

surgeyX They are victims of Man in general. Their population decrease is down to loss of habitat, road traffic accidents, littering (being stuck in cans and elastic bands), gardeners digging up nests or injuring hedgehogs with strimmers, amongst other things.

Have you guys ever thought about approaching pet food manufacturers directly? Not as donation but as promotional/marketing partners? Some companies might be willing to go on board to promote a socially responsible cause as part of their own brand/image strategy in UK. The cost per can would also be a fraction of buying through wholesalers so your funds might go further too.

I didn't realise until now they're declining fast.
