Butte residents express concern about junk cars, RVs

In Butte, junk cars and RVs in the roadway are becoming of increasing concern, particularly in one neighborhood.

“Every summer it seems to get worse and worse. We’ve had a few parked in our driveway for a little while, campers are definitely creeping up more and more,” said Locust Street resident Chris Gross.

A resident of Butte for the past five years, Gross says he is worried about his neighborhood. Located on the flats just to the southeast of the Berkeley Pit, the area includes East Middle School.

He says some vehicles aren’t moved for months at a time, and others routinely are in the area for days.
