Start a homestead in 2023! #homesteading

Have you been thinking about starting a homestead? Homesteading looks different for everyone! I'd recommend starting with the things you're the most interested in.. whether that be gardening, raising chickens, beekeeping, etc.. choose what makes you the most excited and start there!

ABOUT US: We are Alex and Elaina, a couple in our 20s who are currently living on the 3-acre farm in southern Pennsylvania where Alex grew up. We have a garden, backyard chickens, and build or fix anything that we need to. We still work corporate day jobs, but are working to eventually leave the 9-5 lifestyle in favor of a self-built, debt-free, homestead on 6 acres nearby.

We upload a YouTube video every week and post daily on Instagram.

Got a homestead on my patio! Tomatoes, kale, lettuces, spinish, egg plant.will put green beans in soon! And cucumber under lights waiting for seedsings to come up! Tomatoes and egg plants were started under lights now outside

Hey, everybody farms, a different levels, and grow at different levels. I would suggest possibly the next level favor chicken coop on wheels that you have is look at Gold Shaw Farm here on YouTube, his portable hoop coop is just what y’all need for y’all’s next update. It gives them a roof, two pirching sticks, wire flooring so poop goes to the ground and not the inside of the coop itself, and an automatic door that opens and closes. I feel like if ya look at it ya would get a better idea, but I think it would be a nice upgrade for the chickens sometime!
