The school counselors are busy working on scholarships and graduation. They don’t help the students. There’s not enough time for 3 counselors to help 1, 000 students.

Why was a child running ahead of the dad on a _slippery_ sea wall, not to mention that waves were "crashing into it" even before the two got there? 🤔

I think Parents must be accountable for their children. Society needs to do more but the Parents have to do their job.

The historic Crumbley case is a good thing. Parents in (critical cases) need to be held accountable for their child going out and doing heinous things without any regard for those attacked, their parents/loved ones ones, regardless if they have zero regards for themselves. In regard to the last portion of the last sentence, we are seeing so many offenders/criminals doing disgusting actions with the loss of their own lives incorporated in their planning and/or their own final intent. This also helps to get parents to stop acting like their kids friends, guardians, or whatever other than being an actual parent. All fixes FIRST start at home. If there is no real protection and REAL guidance at home, then there is very little for vulnerable kids to get help (especially in mental illness). This is EXTREMELY relevant in mental illness because once that kid hits 18 yrs of age, they’re now considered an adult and a parent/guardian/family can put them into mental health. A lot of times (like with my son), they refuse to listen to his parents, friends, law enforcement, or doctors to seek mental medical help. People (like in my son’s case) continue and progressively get worse in their actions. The law and HIPAA prevent those of us who love our young adults from actively getting help. So back on point, we as parents need to take the hard stance as parents and do our beast to ensure our kids are productive, safe, and stable kids once they leave our homes. People (like our son) who suffer through post childhood mental illness need to handle the brunt (if all) of the penalty because they did that on their watch, not their parents.
