Help me make this better!

I need your help! I’m learning to embrace more of the process and creative experiments, instead of just trying to put out stuff that’s 100% done. I wanna know what you think of this textured piece and how I can improve it! #art #texture #creative #diy #diyprojects

It definitely looks like it needs some texture. Seeds would be good, something that could simulate the appearance/texture of macerated strawberries. I'm drawing a blank on what that could be though (my brain is completely fried right now). If the resin could be spread while thickened, that would also make a big difference. And beating a little bit of air in it.

Texture is key, needs the seeds and some lumps of gel structure paste that’s been tinted red.
Otherwise this looks damn convincing! Excellent work dude.

Make two batches of the jam resin, one lighter and one darker, and add seeds to both. Make the darker one first and let it sit for longer than you need or adjust the mix to make it a little clumpy/thick. Spread the thin jam resin out then lightly mix in the thicker resin to simulate chunks of fruit and a less uniform texture. Keep spreading it as it dries

Sesame seeds would be a cheap and easy solution for raspberry/strawberry seeds. Raspberry jam has more visible seeds and less pulp. Strawberry jam tends to have less seeds, and instead of pulp tends to just have the occasional random chunk of berry.

I think that you should give it to me. Great idea 💯

Try ground up resin flakes or sprinkles and adding lumps to simulate the strawberry chunks on the painting

I think the jam looked better when drizzled vs when you spend it out.

Definitely need texture, i have this stuff from culture hustle called diamond dust or something like that, i add it when i need some texture, they blend right into the resin and all you see is some texture depending how you do it

I think adding small cube like structures into the jelly like how jelly is like

Maybe you can let some resin dry half way and then pour, add some tiny black seeds and different red shades

Golden acrylic paste mediums are great, transparent, and chunky!
Or let that resin sit for some time and apply in thicker state!

If you really want jam, you need to be adding stuff. Because right now, it's just jelly. If you are ok with jelly, it's fines as is.

Figuring out how to alter the chemistry for a jelly consistency sounds pretty cool. If it's 2 part epoxy you can alter the mix ratio for that.

You should stirr the resin periodically making chunks of resin once it’s fully cured it looks like strawberry preserves or chunky jelly

It would be a bit more "full" if you add more but we love it anyways keep up the good work!

The color match is perfect for the peanut butter

If you want a more jam like texture wait longer for the resin to begin the curing process. Itll clump up & bunch in on itself.

Strawberry chunks and seeds sound amazing

Blend up orbeez and mix that into the resin maybe? That would be a pretty accurate jam texture I think
