Kodo Incense Ceremony

The art of Kodo comes to London with the rare opportunity to participate in an history Japanese incense ceremony. Mr Hachiya of the Shino School leads the experience, hosted by Odette Toilette at The Conran Shop London and in collaboration with Fornasetti Profumi. The Kodo ceremonies took place in April 2013 with the support of Nippon Kodo incense.

Interesting video, would have been perfect if more light was shed on the type of agarwood used during this ceremony. Toilette, in the sense here of performing an act of cleansing; hygienic. I suppose you are familiar with the " eau de toilette " to scent yourself and your garnements.
