Honestly the heartbreak of a goal line interception to end a Super Bowl is probably the worst, because the fans in the players have their hopes up until the very last second to have it dashed away by the evil empire.

Blowing the 28-3 lead is worse imo.
You are leading by enough to absorb a couple significant mistakes and still win in all likelihood. In order to blow that kind of lead you must make numerous mistakes in quick succession.

16:21 I would say the 2016 Falcons collapse was more demoralizing than the 2014 Seahawks late game blunder.

Imagine being up 28-3 playing pretty much flawless football just for it to slip away.

For the 2010 season when the Jets beat the Patriots in the playoffs, Mark Sanchez was in his 2nd season, not his rookie season. Other than that, great video as always

As a lifelong Atlanta Falcons fan, I'm not sure there is any NFL fan base that knows pain quite like we do, to have defeat snatched from the jaws of victory time and time again. In my mind 28-3 was more painful, just because that game was years in the making for our franchise and the past few seasons had all been building towards this one moment, only to have it all taken away from us over the course of those last 30 minutes.

I forgot about Chris Johnson. Man, watching him and AP along with a few other great RBs during that era was a real treat.

Incredible video. One point of note: 10:39 it wasn’t ROOKIE Mark Sanchez. It was Sanchez’s second season in 2010. 2009 was the rookie year when he led the Jets to their first of back-to-back AFC Championship appearances.

16:36 Wow! It's crazy to see how even both the Patriots and eagles were in terms of points when you showed us the standings for 2017. The Patriots scored one more point and the eagles gave up one less point.

as a chargers fan, that Marlon McCree fumble will haunt me for the rest of my life. you could make the argument that singular play was the reason phillip rivers might not make the hall of fame. i believe they couldve beaten the colts and the bears if they were just able to run out the clock against the pats.

If you go back to 1999, it was the Jacksonville Jagaurs and they lost in the AFC Champ game to the Titans. 1998 was that 15-1 Vikings team that lost the NFC Champ Game

Minor correction at around 17:25: Super Bowl 52 was not the highest scoring Super Bowl. That distinction belongs to Super Bowl 29 (52 had 74 points scored [Eagles 41 + Patriots 33], 29 had 75 points scored [49ers 49 + Chargers 26]).

Super Bowl 52 was the most “offensive” one though, as the two teams combined for over 1150 yards of offense (which I believe is a record for all games). Great video though, very entertaining!

I’d say overall 28-3 is a worse lost just cause you have nobody to blame except yourselves as a whole team where the goal line interception could blame the coach’s play call which is what most of us have done since that game while we always talk about how bad and funny it was that the Falcons just imploded

As a Seahawks fan that pick is just overall more heartbreaking because of how sudden it was and I still remember my heart dropping when it happened

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already here, but it’s crazy how in 2017, Patriots scored one more point than the Eagles did, but the Eagles allowed one less point. That’s insane!!

As a Packers fan that 2021 loss to the 9'ers absolutely hurts to watch.

It was so awesome to relive these super bowls....I think losing the way the falcons did to the patriots was the worst even though the way the seahawks lost was equally unbelievable

TLDR: Historically the team with the best NFL record usually does not win the Superbowl and when they have won it was usually the Patriots.

Storytime. I was at a Milwaukee Bucks game on the night the Packers lost, I'm from Chicago and I had never seen so much Packers gear in my life. The Bucks had the scoreboard up but, on the way home I heard Robbie Gould's kick on the radio. It's one of my fondest memories

Eddie George's y/a is not a summary of how great he was. He belongs in the HOF.
