Critical Role used RotV ruins on one of their maps, so they might be familiar Heroscape. A Sam Riegel ad read would do wonders for the campaign!

Looks like one of my Hercules customs made it onto your board! : )

I would love to see the game come back, but let’s face it. This game has died twice already (original and area of the PW). Also, I don’t see it being a competitive game. Backers would have such a huge advantage.

I like this idea, but I fear it comes too late. It takes time to write a script, recruit people to read it, and make a video. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would *love* to hear Luetin doing a Heroscape lore video (not sure which role he would play since Thormun is taken, but I really want to hear it anyway), but we're already in the second half of the time frame. I'm not convinced they would get enough videos produced and uploaded in time to make up the remaining difference. But then again, you are right that the Warhammer community is a ripe target for marketing. At the game shops I've been visiting, I've found that people already invested in Warhammer are more willing to try backing the HasLab because they've already traded their souls for less and they know it. From their perspective, this big box is actually cheap. If this is the target audience we've got the best shot with, then it might be the best remaining option to go all-in on this idea and pray for success.

250$/300€ is a lot of money, true.
But in the landscape of todays crowdfunding campaigns of simillar games its very competetive.
I was not part of Heroscape when it was live, bought the RotV Box at a fleamarket some years ago.
Since the start of the campaign i played my first games and bought the second Master Set and the D&D Masterset backing as soon as the EU got some shipping option.

That beeing said im all for some more buzz around the campaign!
HS is a fun game, a very good gateway game and as its finally unpainted with quality Minis interesting to the wider wargaming community (even tho they might not want the Hextiles but there is always someone to buy them :D )

Interesting youtubers would also be the painters.
I dont know if Avalon Hill has enough Minis for that tho :D

I think the only person who could have maybe saved this was Tom Vassel. Instead he took a big shit on it. I had some ideas for how to save it, as did a lot of people in the community. The ideas were all ignored, and the Heroscapers forums moderators started giving out 30 day bans for complaining about the way the campaign was being run for being "combative." I won't be doing any further marketing or pledging anymore to support this game given those factors.

so this is just a corporate shill without actually being paid by the corporations...
This idea is terrible, and would inflate the cost even more...

First: The asking price is way to much to get the ball rolling.
8k backers at 250 = 2mil, why would they need that much just to produce this, when they already have the moulds and obviously the land from nearly a decade ago, there's already a big chunk of change saved.
Cut the cost in half, and they really want that 2mil, just bump the backer limit up to 16k...

Second: The included extra terrain pieces, the walls and jungle trees/bushes, are just not worth getting for, especially because the walls can't have tiles on top of them, and the jungle trees/bushes should have been temperate forest trees/rocks/bushes to start.

Third: This was a problem with the original RoTV Master set, and that is too many unnecessary special units, and too many introduced factions right from the start.
It leaves very little room to grow and expand to add more in the future with unique and interesting factions being added and fleshed out.

Fourth: The amount of land is no more than RoTV, and no new tiles have been created to help add variety to the builds.
The 27 tile pieces are a very difficult thing to work with because of their design.

Fifth: (From the previous Heroscape release) How come they decided to not make special land that combines actual cliff designs, so we can actually make great looking and functional maps?
This reliance on just tiles to build up the land and makeshift cliffs is just absolutely absurd.

All in all, this "Kickstarter" deserves to burn in flames.
I would love to see Heroscape return, but this is not how it should happen, especially this money hungry "Kickstarter" way...

I’ve seen some good ideas to help this project along. This isn’t it. 👎 seven and half mins I’ll never get back….
