This is a good project I give credit where it due the Chinese BRI projects they really, really interest me. Future rail and road projects that will link West Africa with East Africa. Imagine travelling from Accra Ghana. To Nairobi by bullet train? I would also urge the Chinese to allow. Local manufacturers and SMEs to grow China will still make money. If America and UK don't bathe us all in nuclear fire first.

Many of d countries in Africa (as well as othr parts of d world) wer once colonies of western countries for many yrs. China hd nvr colonised any othr country yet dey r rendering help to these countries. Shdnt d former colonial intruders help in d countries dey once exploited for resources n forced labour !!

I find it funny in a way. This is because there are a lot of charities in UK asking donations from the public by claiming to help the poor Africans with food and water. All we know is that each will have a full time CEO with office and staff that must be paid before anything could happen. However we hear very little about the work actually done except the initial advertising materials. Many of these charities could get some money initially, disappear completely from the scene and could re-emerge again without showing any thing achieved.

China at least has been doing the donkey work but no western media would report it. The funny thing is Chinese people don't mind as it is their effort bringing fruitful results that really matter at the end. Thus it isn't doing the deed but the real reward is seeing the Africans having access to clean water that is what it counts at the end. The west is more interested in fame, title and position and has less interest in the result.

Be careful not to have what happened to neighboring Uganda happen in Rwanda. They lost their airport due to debt from things like this
