Her world is turned upside down when the man she thinks is responsible for her daughter's death - Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) - is released from prison. The series also stars Steve Pemberton, Siobhan Finneran, George Costigan, and Joe Armstrong.

I rarely "binged" on TV shows but I did with Happy Valley, it's an excellent Police thriller with wonderful acting, smart writing and an intense plot. Highly recommend it!!

This is an outstanding BBC series aired on Netflix that will suck you in and blow your mind. The main character is a woman who had to become the guardian (basically the mom) of her daughters son who killer herself. Soon the daughter’s reason for suicide is revealed and ultimately connects a host of other crimes that will leave you asking: could a real cop (man or woman) deal with what she has to go through without having a nervous breakdown? Totally captivating and powerful to the end.
