That is a laser!! Flexes on the nail like a straight razor. I am I knife and razor/steel nerd. I want to venture out into higher speed steels soon. I never have sharpened anything but high carbon, regular stainless knifes. Lol that means I would need to buy the appropriate stone too.
I am trying to learn to bench sharpen instead of sharpening with stone in hand, I have always held stone in hand with knife sharpening. I am trying to learn how to sharpen ambiextrous. I do bench hone with my straight razors, but they have a fixed angle, and all one needs to do is keep the spine on the stone. For some reason I can't 'feel' my angle when bench sharpening with knives. But I believe one can get more consistent angles if one learns with the stone on the bench. I guess I just got to train myself.

Good info bro!!

Beautiful work!
Love the satin finish you put on it.
One of my favorite knives.
How well do you think that edge will hold up in real use?

Hey Shawn I have a project for you if you're interested. I recently got a MassDrop exclusive Spyderco Endura in Super Gold Powdered Steel(SG2) with SUS410 cladding. I was wondering if you would be interested in doing another Endura regrind/acid etch? You have already done two Endura regrinds/acid etches for me in the past which are absolutely amazing. Please let me know if this is something I can have you do for me, thanks!!!
